Community Convo - Financial Security
During this tenuous time in our world and economy, many businesses are understandably facing unexpected struggles. We wanted to share with you some ways in which the City of Philadelphia, the Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce, and the federal government are trying to help small businesses thrive.
The US Small Business Administration offers a type of loan called the SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan. According to their website, under this program, “the SBA will work directly with state Governors to provide targeted, low-interest loans to small business and non-profits that have been severely impacted by the Coronavirus.” The program provides working capital funding of up to $2 million to help overcome the temporary loss of revenue businesses are facing in the wake of the virus.
